Overview
Waters is seeking an Assembler Specialist to join their New Product Introduction team. This role involves performing complex electro-mechanical and/or optical assembly in a fast-paced new product development environment.
Responsibilities
- Assembly and test of electro-mechanical devices per production schedules and in alignment with quality goals.
- Assist with troubleshooting of problems associated with systems, instruments, modules, sub-assemblies, processes, tooling, and/or materials.
- Aid in determining and initiating corrective actions for problems identified in instruments, assemblies, processes, tooling, and material.
- Provide training to department personnel for assembly, test, and operation of new or existing instruments, equipment, or processes.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to process and/or assembly documentation.
- Assist in transferring new products, assemblies, equipment, and processes from New Product Introduction into long-term production areas.
Qualifications
- High School education, vocational/technical background a plus.
- 2 years minimum experience or equivalent in an electro-mechanical assembly and test environment preferred.
- Ability to read/understand mechanical drawings and follow written procedures.
- Understand proper use of common hand tools (e.g., drivers, torque wrenches, punches, presses, cutters, etc.).
- Basic understanding of working within the Microsoft Windows Environment (navigation and using applications).
