Responsibilities
- Understand and Utilize Shop Paperwork including Travelers, Work Instructions, and Process Documents. (1D-01571; Production Paperwork and Documentation)
- Understand and utilize engineering blue prints
- Perform mechanical, electromechanical and electronic assembly.
- Perform wiring, harnessing, cabling including wire stripping, crimping, layout and lacing per IPC 620.
- Perform assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, conformal coating, bonding, curing, stamping, etc.
- Utilize Manual and powered hand tools.
- Understand and follow torque specifications.
- Hand solder per work instructions and J-Std-001
- Inspect/ Verify Soldering per work instructions and IPC 610 Class 3
- Set-up and Run Automated and Semi-Automated assembly equipment
- Set-up and Run Automated Electronic and Electrical Tests
- Perform Standard Repair procedures
- Set-up and Operate ERSA
- Perform operator level Preventative Maintenance on Area Equipment
- Extract and Input data into MRP System
- Perform final assembly and test and minor troubleshooting
- Work from Preliminary Process Documentation and Drawings and provide feedback to Manufacturing and Design Engineering on New Product and Process development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering.
- Experience with ISO 9000.
- Successfully pass the in-house soldering test.
- IPC-610 Certification
- Ability to Conduct final assembly, testing and minor troubleshooting of avionics to meet strict customer specifications.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lb.
- Must pass eye exam.
- A high degree of manual dexterity is required.
- Ability to work with various hand tools and presses a must.
- Shift varies between standing, walking, reaching, sitting, bending and lifting
