About the Role

This position will provide day-to-day product line productivity, problem-solving direction and assistance, associate training, metrics reporting, and attention to job-related functions pertaining to their assigned product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company core beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
  • Initiate and attend gate calls to resolve issues within the area.
  • Coordinate daily production including quality, scheduling, and tasks of other associates within the group.
  • Communicate daily cell objectives with associates, peers, support personnel, and management to meet cell/production requirements.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain measurements/documentation which fosters continuous improvement efforts that support a lean manufacturing environment (e.g., standard work, GEMBA boards, Kamishibai boards).
  • Assure workflow between stations and/or departments, providing parts, supplies, and equipment as needed. Stage upcoming production jobs.
  • Assist with establishing priorities, problem-solving, and setting goals. Evaluate systems and processes and make recommendations regarding modifications.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and good documentation practices are understood, and compliance is present on each line. Ensure all work instructions are understood and followed by operators. Report non-compliance to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate and promote safety and good housekeeping practices in the area at all times.
  • Operate Hager and rivet machines. Complete required paperwork (1st pc Article, WIP, 100% Ready for ISN, and router).
  • Use calipers and other measuring tools.
  • Lift 50 lbs and sometimes perform team lifts of up to 75 pounds.
  • Pull jobs from the FIFO system efficiently. Set up pin stamper accurately and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Able to locate jobs and set up if not already kitted. Keep track of daily supplies and place supply orders when needed.
  • Train others as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of assembly manufacturing experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • Experience in the medical device industry preferred.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented with an ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with others and facilitate positive action.

Schedule

2nd Shift (3:30 pm – 12:00 am) with a 15% shift premium.
