About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Assembler (M-Force) 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $18.91 + .75 shift differential per hour.
Responsibilities
- Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.
- Safety: Follows all safety policies and procedures, complies with JSA’s, wears proper PPE, complies with the production attire policy, and assures that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves.
- General cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.
- Work under limited supervision to plan, requisition materials, set up and operate a variety of operations and coordinate run sequences to assemble polymer and/or porcelain three-phase switches according to the OMS/standard work for each operation.
- Read and interpret drawings, prints, work orders, or operation descriptions.
- Set up the workstation, maintain production, process control and quality standards, and conform to all safety and good housekeeping standards.
- Carry out all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to the production of three-phase switch product lines.
- Maintain quality standards consistent with the Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy.
- Visually inspect components and products. Take responsibility and ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.
- Ensure the supervisor/manager is notified of all problems with product or quality.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year production experience. Experience with driving a forklift. Experience with reading blueprints.
