Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together and performs quality inspection of completed parts.
  • Packs completed parts.
  • Conducts month-end inventory of completed and in-process parts.
  • May be required to work off shifts as needed.
  • May work in other areas of either plant based on production requirements.
  • Places parts in specified relationship to each other according to work instructions and/or prints that are provided.
  • Updates work instructions as procedures change.
  • Receives and gives backup support from other assembly or production personnel.
  • Reworks parts for assembly as required.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require and maintains organization of work areas.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • ABILITY TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS INVOLVING A FEW CONCRETE VARIABLES IN STANDARDIZED SITUATIONS.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
