Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain Daily Attendance Log.
- Review manning for workstations and reallocate as needed to meet production schedule.
- Ensure team members are following defined assembly procedures.
- Identify training needs, cross-train, and mentor team members and document on Tier II board.
- Lead/participate in Tier meetings daily.
- Foster an environment of effective communication (keep department up to date on company news).
Safety
- Develop daily safety focus and discuss at Tier I meetings.
- Ensure 5S to ensure cleanliness and part presentation.
- Monitor PPE Adherence.
- Monitor safety equipment and tools. Report issues to responsible parties.
Quality
- Non-conforming material is clearly identified and processed within 48 hours.
- Process audits completed.
- Document and retrain employees with continuous quality issues.
- Disseminate quality alerts to responsible parties.
- Escalate any quality concerns to supervisor and Quality team.
Delivery
- Clock in/out system used to track attendance.
- Coordinate and confirm daily production schedules with production planner.
- Hour by hour board maintained and exceptions to hourly achievement noted.
- Monitor pitch with exceptions in hour-by-hour board and identify issues.
- Ensure part pick lists submitted by end of shift.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or production environment.
Skills & Abilities
- IPC Certification.
- Blueprint reading.
