Responsibilities
- Use your strong teamwork skills to safely and efficiently build wood crates using blueprints (cut sheets) and power tools to meet customer specifications for quality and on-time delivery.
- Log in and out of jobs in the Ops Center (Production software planning system) to track jobs and follow production schedules.
- Follow safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
- May need to assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground, which requires use of a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching and/or kneeling.
- Able to read, interpret, find, and document possible cut sheet and/or stenciling errors.
- Use adhesives to apply foam to wood crates and conduct specification checks.
- Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.
- Use of equipment and when to involve a supervisor.
- Follow all procedures, policies, and understand equipment use, before use.
- To ensure safety, report equipment defects and/or maintenance needs to your supervisor.
- To help protect yourself and others, please report any unsafe acts to your supervisor.
Requirements
- 3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscaping.
- Use of dimensional and electrical power tools and motorized equipment.
- Basic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with employee ID number.
- Willingness to use heat sealers, utility knives, machinery and varying textures of foam.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with employee ID number.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- High School Diploma or GED.
Skills
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Safety and personal protective equipment knowledge.
- Power tool operation (tape measure, nail gun, grinders, hammers).
- Computer literacy (Ops Center).
- Equipment maintenance awareness.

Pay

Schedule
Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends may be optional or required.
