Job Title: Assembler II – Sub Assembly Refrigeration FLSA Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt Department: Operations Supervisor: Production Supervisor Shift: 1st What We Are Looking For Sub Assembly Refrigeration works as part of a team having responsibility for assembling different components of product lines. Sub Assembly Refrigeration is responsible for preparing the coil(s) as described in the job text, leak checks, filling the coil with nitrogen and placing the pressure plates on the coil(s). What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materialsIdentify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itselfRead and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine locations, size, capacity, and type of components, such as compressor, condenser, expansion valves and tubing or piping needed to build equipmentCut, bend, and braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines or refrigeration systemsRemove air from system and charges system with specified amount and type of refrigerantConduct pre-startup to check all equipmentIdentify power and hand tools used on their assigned product linePerforms any assembly-type function, using hand or power toolsIdentify parts and part descriptions using work order information, like bill of materialsUtilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioningRead rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instrumentsFasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fastenersIdentify maintenance needed on equipment and toolingUtilize electrical testing equipment like dielectric testing or voltage metersWork at different workstations as production needs requireMaintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly mannerUse proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cellPerform other duties as assigned To Be a Great Fit For The Role Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team playerEffectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands-on in problem solvingA fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organizationA passion for getting things rightCan-do attitude, committed to finding solutionsDemonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devicesDemonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction Physical Demands Occasionally –Kneeling, Squatting, Pinching, Foot Use, and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs alone and 75lbs assistedFrequently – Walking, Stooping/Twisting, Pushing/Pulling, Neck Rotation/Extension, and Lift/Carry up to 50lbsConstantly – Standing, Reaching, Gripping, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 10lbsOccasionally – Occurs up to 1/3 of the timeFrequently – Occurs 1/3 to 2/3 of the timeConstantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the time
