Assembler II - Dept. 205

Responsibilities

• Assembly of a limited variety of products or sub-assemblies of small, light to average weight parts following standard procedures.
• Assembly and fitting parts to close tolerances including aligning, fitting, and adjusting parts to meet operating requirements of unit.
• Use of hand and/or power tools.
• Mechanical skills, ability to use hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Adapt to changing priorities.
• Good disposition to interact and communicate with employees at all organizational levels.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write, ability to comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions.
• Demonstrate adequate dexterity to reach acceptable levels of efficiency.
• Demonstrate mechanical skills, ability to use hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions.
• No disciplinary action records for any reason at or above the written warning level within the previous twelve months.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous MSA experience preferred.
