Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs routine assembly tasks, working independently with the aid of standard work assembly drawings (SWADs), such as:Assembles electrical and mechanical components and any additional routine sub-assemblies.
- Packages products while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Water Spider (inventory movement support): facilitates workflow, including stocking bins, pallets, cardboard, and general material handling.
- Builds final product.
- Works with area manufacturing engineers (ME’s)
- Frequently operates tools/equipment such as hand tools, pneumatics tools, testing equipment, fixtures, and high voltage dielectric testing while using required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines.
- Routinely follows work and test instructions to perform tasks. May be required to interpret the results of certain tests and at times may troubleshoot and repair assemblies as necessary.
- Achieves and maintains established safety, quality, and productivity standards. Must not pose a risk to self or others.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Able to perform basic math calculations.
- Able to troubleshoot problems when necessary.
- Able to operate the required hand tools and fixtures.
- Able to interpret standard work assembly drawings (SWAD), production order paperwork, test instructions, and quality checklists.
