About the role
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Assembler II (3rd shift) - Cable Tray at our Reno, NV location. The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 + $1 Shift Differential per hour.
Responsibilities
- Assist and set up for Welders in the Cable Tray department.
- Assemble and stack/band Cable Tray ladders.
- Handle materials and parts up to 50-pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Perform simple repetitive assembly of parts and components.
- Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices.
- Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
- Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction.
- Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives.
- Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
- Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
- Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered for this position.
- Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
Additional Information
- Physical Demands: Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance; also lifting more than 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
- Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
- Working environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
- Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
