About the role
LISI AEROSPACE is seeking a skilled assembler to join our team. We specialize in the design and manufacture of high-tech metal components for aircraft engines and airframes. The ideal candidate will operate machinery, inspect products, and follow detailed blueprints to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Operates machinery such as drill presses, punch presses, and rotary milling machines to assemble products.
- Reads blueprints and Manufacturing Orders (MO) to understand product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
- Inspects products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify conformance to blueprints and MOs.
- Removes burrs and cracks from parts using hand files and scrapers, and detangles and reworks parts to meet MO specifications.
- Counts finished products and records information about inspections, testing, and production dates.
- Marks or tags parts with necessary identification and loads/unloads parts from production machines.
- Reports malfunctions and non-conforming parts to supervisors and follows safety regulations.
- Performs record-keeping, data entry, and housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of related experience in manufacturing or assembly.
- Working knowledge of assembly processes and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision inspection instruments.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with mainframe systems.
