About the role

LISI AEROSPACE is seeking a skilled assembler to join our team. We specialize in the design and manufacture of high-tech metal components for aircraft engines and airframes. The ideal candidate will operate machinery, inspect products, and follow detailed blueprints to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operates machinery such as drill presses, punch presses, and rotary milling machines to assemble products.
  • Reads blueprints and Manufacturing Orders (MO) to understand product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
  • Inspects products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify conformance to blueprints and MOs.
  • Removes burrs and cracks from parts using hand files and scrapers, and detangles and reworks parts to meet MO specifications.
  • Counts finished products and records information about inspections, testing, and production dates.
  • Marks or tags parts with necessary identification and loads/unloads parts from production machines.
  • Reports malfunctions and non-conforming parts to supervisors and follows safety regulations.
  • Performs record-keeping, data entry, and housekeeping tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience in manufacturing or assembly.
  • Working knowledge of assembly processes and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision inspection instruments.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with mainframe systems.
