Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts according to specified Work Instructions and/or Drawings, completing critical component assemblies.
  • Rotate throughout the facility to perform a variety of assembly tasks as required.
  • Use hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies.
  • Use circular saws and deburring tools to complete modified assemblies (Utility and Flow only).
  • Use laser etcher, dot peen etcher, and engraver to complete modified assemblies to customer specifications (Utility and Flow only).
  • Calibrate gas to test sensors (Analytical Technologies only).
  • Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders and make adjustments as needed.
  • Use the Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions, and report completed work.
  • Navigate basic LX screens to identify inventory requirements and status, and utilize the system to make adjustments.
  • Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and seek additional information from leads or supervisors when needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Train others in the department.
  • Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace.

Requirements

  • High School Degree/GED preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing desired.

Qualifications

  • Understand gluing and centering to specific tolerances across multiple areas/products.
  • If applicable, ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, including an ERP system and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
  • Depending on the assigned department, must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test.
  • Those working in the Aerospace department must pass Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception tests.
  • Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
