Job Summary

Air Distribution Technologies is seeking an Assembler to join our ASC facility in Tarboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will support the production of high-quality HVAC products by performing a variety of assembly tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production timelines while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

About the Role

This position involves performing a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. It also includes assembling parts and components into subassemblies or finished products following detailed instructions and procedures, reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate assembly, inspecting materials and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards, identifying and reporting defective materials, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and safety guidelines, following all standard operating procedures (SOPs), job safety analyses (JSAs), and PPE requirements, collaborating with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals, and supporting continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

What You’ll Do

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste

What We’re Looking For

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic production equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Preferred: Previous experience in HVAC or mechanical product assembly, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement practices, experience working in a team-based production environment

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment at our Tarboro facility. Employees will be regularly exposed to noise, moving equipment, and industrial conditions. The role requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks involving hands, wrists, and arms. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, as well as bending, stooping, crouching, and walking on hard surfaces. The environment may be non-climate controlled and include exposure to dust, grease, fumes, and other typical manufacturing conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
