About the role
The Assembler I position involves building sub-assemblies and assemblies for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) using standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include visual inspections, tool usage, quality checks, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies
- Inspect material before and after assembly
- Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and make necessary adjustments
- Adequately calibrate machines and tools and perform housekeeping duties according to 5S+ principles
- Provide process and safety improvement ideas
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Previous experience with standard operating procedures
- Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance, and/or repair
- Soldering experience
- Basic working knowledge and experience with computers
Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility
- Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures
- Willingness to work daily and/or weekend overtime and to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colored wiring
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position

Pay
The pay rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.
Schedule
Core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm Mon-Thurs and 6:00am to 2:00pm Fri.
