Responsibilities
- Assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal products, parts and equipment.
- Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders.
- Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and/or covering.
- Apply primer, paint, and caulk as needed.
- Perform close up requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to understand structural drawings.
- Understanding of 6S.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic reading/writing skills.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Ability to read/understand a tape measure.
- Ability to use a paintbrush.
- Knowledge of different types of flooring.
- Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging.
- Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to six months related experience and/or training.
Skills
- Ability to understand structural drawings.
- Understanding of 6S.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic reading/writing skills.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Ability to read/understand a tape measure.
- Ability to use a paintbrush.
- Knowledge of different types of flooring.
- Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging.
- Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
