About the role
Harlow Aerostructures LLC is seeking full-time positions for Assemblers - Sheet Metal, working Shift First.
Responsibilities
- Align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments like protractors and dividers, according to blueprint station lines and index points.
- Trim and file parts to fit, verifying fitting tolerances with gauges and calipers.
- Drill, ream, and countersink holes in subassemblies, and fasten subassemblies into structural assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
- Install parts and components, including incidental plumbing, electrical, rigging, or other functional items, in main structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Specialize in assembling and installing parts, structural components, and subassemblies to build wing assemblies.
- Locate holes for drilling in structural assemblies for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to lift, squat, and bend with up to 50 pounds.
Skills Required
- Sheet Metal Assembly experience (preferred).
- Experience in bushing & bearing installation, use of liquid nitrogen, and installation of all types of fasteners such as solid rivets & blind fasteners (preferred).
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
