Assembler I

About the role

The primary responsibility of this position is to build material dispensing equipment for automotive and general industry customers. Duties involve a variety of tasks including performing assembly of large industrial type machines, pallet building, incidental machining, problem solving, and taking corrective action to assigned products or areas, operation of material handling equipment, receiving, counting, loading or unloading transportation vehicles. Overall knowledge of powered and hand tools, machine blueprints, and wiring diagrams is required.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of dispensing equipment
• Reading and deciphering blueprints and electrical diagrams
• Equipment operation and maintenance
• Troubleshooting
• Use of miscellaneous hand and measuring tools, gauges, test equipment, power lift equipment and possible tow motor operation
• Parts preparation, labeling, movement and tracking
• Inspection and quality tracking and reporting
• Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
• Conformance to production and administrative procedures
• Enhancement of existing processes
• Communicate with leaders and work well with others in a team environment

Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or GED required

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant experience associated with the tasks to be performed preferred

• Technical Ability – effectively apply written/verbal instructions from procedures, documents and blueprints
• Ability to Learn – assimilate and apply new, job-related information in a timely manner
• Adaptability – maintain effectiveness in a changing environment, assignments, responsibilities and/or priorities
• Physical Dexterity – effectively assemble electrical/mechanical devices
• Basic Computer Skills
• Ability to drive a tow motor
• Consistent attendance required
