Assembler I

About the role

Moog's Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for an Assembler I to join the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team. This is an on-site, collaborative working environment with a 9/80 1st shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electronic assembly/work instructions and accurately perform assembly tasks/procedures accordingly
• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Use basic hand tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches etc.
• Measure and inspect throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet specified requirements
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
• Keep accurate records of production quantities and time
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Support other assembly teams/tasks/projects as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or formal training equivalency
• Prior experience assembling complex electrical/mechanical components strongly preferred
• Experience with mechanical parts/components/controls is preferred
• Basic/Intermediate computer skills
• Basic Math Skills
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.

Schedule

• 9/80 schedule: M-Th, 7am-4pm, every other F 7am-3pm (every other Friday off)

Pay

• Salt Lake City, UT: $18.00–$21.00 hourly
