About the Role

An Assembler (I) for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location plays a crucial role in our production process by preparing components and assembling parts to create our finished products. They follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to ensure the accurate and efficient creation of products. They will be responsible for painting, finishing, and/or insulating products.

Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • May perform other limited assembly, fabrication, production, or operator tasks of a standard nature.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to learn how to operate basic machinery (ex. Waterjet).
  • Able to paint and work with insulation.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation

This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role is $18.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
