About the Role

An Assembler (I) at Lennox AES in Tallassee, AL, plays a key role in the production process by preparing components and assembling parts to create finished products. This position involves following detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient assembly, as well as painting, finishing, and insulating products.

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • Perform other limited assembly, fabrication, production, or operator tasks of a standard nature.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to learn how to operate basic machinery (e.g., Waterjet).
  • Able to paint and work with insulation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

This is an hourly non-exempt role with a starting pay range of $18.00/hour. Overtime is available for hours worked beyond 40 in a week (or as required by state law).
