Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked
  • Meet or exceed production standards
  • Maintain quality standards on all products
  • Safely load and unload machinery with the proper tooling and product as directed by team leader or supervisor
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the department
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
  • Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
  • Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation
  • Select the proper tooling and process set-up as directed by team leader or supervisor
  • Safely assemble parts on line to manufacture items for customer fulfillment, including lifting, screwing, pushing, pulling, counting, sorting, crating, packaging, and labeling items
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • A thorough understanding of the hazard communication program
  • Total understanding of the shop packets released to the shop floor
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or its equivalent (desired)
  • Regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
  • Capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed

Skills

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely
  • Clarity of vision and ability to focus on fast and repetitious operations for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods

Working Conditions

  • Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
  • Exposure to heavy equipment or components (safety-toed shoes required)
  • Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required)
  • Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
  • Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions
