Assembler I (Temp To Hire) Location: Riverside, CA Pay Range: $21.00-25.00/hr. Schedule: Onsite from 6am - 2:30pm Position Summary The General Assembly Technician I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting vehicle or component assembly operations under close supervision. This position focuses on learning fundamental assembly skills, safe tool usage, and basic manufacturing processes while contributing to daily production goals. The technician works as part of a small team and follows established work instructions, quality checks, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks such as fastening components, installing brackets, and assisting with subassembliesUse hand tools and basic power tools under guidance and supervisionAssist with electrical work including wire routing, labeling, and preparation for terminationSupport body and interior assembly activities such as panel installation, surface prep, sealing, and material handlingFollow work instructions, drawings, and verbal direction to complete assigned tasksConduct self-checks of completed work to ensure it meets basic quality expectationsComplete required production checklists, logs, and documentation accuratelyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standardsEscalate issues related to quality, fitment, safety, or unclear instructions to the supervisor or lead technicianLearn and develop skills to meet expected takt time and productivity standards Qualifications Required Skills: 1–2 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a hands-on work environmentBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processesAbility to safely use hand tools and basic power tools with instructionAbility to read and follow basic drawings or work instructions with supportGood attention to detail and ability to follow directionsReliable attendance and a strong focus on safety Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with hands for extended periodsAbility to lift and move materials up to established limits with or without assistanceAbility to safely operate hand and power tools Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, tools, equipment, and varying temperatures. May involve working inside vehicle structures or confined spaces.
