Assembler I

Job Summary

Design Ready Controls is seeking an Assembler I to join our production team. This role involves performing various tasks related to the manufacturing of custom control panels, including basic wiring, sheet metal assembly, component assembly, and setup. The position requires a basic understanding of reading schematics and using hand tools.

General Responsibilities

• Verify parts for assembly match the Bill of Materials
• Assemble electrical panels according to drawings
• Terminate wire ends and add terminals as needed
• Prepare panels for testing and shipping
• Troubleshoot basic panel wiring and look for potential electrical issues
• Learn to identify process improvement measures and escalate appropriately
• Maintain a safe and efficient work area
• Aid in training measures as assigned
• Champion company core values

Required Skills and Abilities

• Use a computer to access job documentation and personal records
• Read contrasting colors and correctly identify wire size
• Use basic measurement tools and perform basic math
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Show strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and quality workmanship
• Show personal integrity, a drive to learn, a teamwork mentality, and focus on safety and customer service

Physical Requirements

• Use hands to cut, strip, crimp, bend, and terminate wires
• Utilize hand tools, table-top tools, drills, torque tools, and bandsaw
• Stand on feet or walk for at least 1-2 hours per shift
• Lift up to 10-25 lbs. frequently and up to 50-85 lbs. in team lifts

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
