About the Role
We are Kolpak! We design, manufacture, and supply best-in-class commercial walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration equipment for the global foodservice market. As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for installing gasket material onto walk-in cooler and freezer panels to ensure proper sealing during final assembly. This role supports product quality, structural integrity, thermal performance, and customer satisfaction by following established work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Parsons, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install gasket material onto walk-in panels in accordance with work instructions, prints, and standard operating procedures to ensure proper sealing and fit during panel assembly.
- Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and/or blueprints to correctly identify gasket type, orientation, and placement.
- Inspect installed gasket material to verify alignment, adhesion, continuity, and overall quality prior to panel movement or downstream assembly.
- Perform basic sub-assembly tasks related to panel preparation as required.
- Operate hand tools and/or basic pneumatic or electric tools as needed to install gasket material.
- Load, unload, lift, and move panels and materials using appropriate lifting equipment when available.
- Accurately complete and maintain required electronic and/or manual production documentation, including checklists, stamps, barcodes, and related paperwork.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Perform all duties in compliance with the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Kolpak Code of Conduct.
- Actively participate in safety training and promptly address or escalate safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
- Perform basic math and reading comprehension.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete for a full shift and work in temperatures above 95°F.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and lift 50 lbs alone; lift more than 50 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to handle tools safely and inspect finished products.
- Must be able to wear PPE.
