About the role

We are seeking an Assembler I to join our team on the 2nd Shift at our Fort Worth, TX site. The hourly rate is $17.50 - $21.00 plus a 5% shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Process and scan in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
  • Read and interpret documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.).
  • Collect parts and accessories required in the assembly process, assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).
  • Prepare finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
  • Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies while verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attach identifying tags, report non-conforming items.
  • Perform other work as advised by Supervision.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language.
  • Make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects, stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
  • Reach, grasp, lift up to 75 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material (as needed).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Assembly/Wiring Experience.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language.
  • Coordination of hand and arm movements for grasping and moving objects.
  • Stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
  • Reaching, grasping, lifting up to 75 lbs, and pushing/pulling/slinging heavy material (as needed).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
