About the role
Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer of Display Cases, Specialty Products, Refrigeration Systems, Power Systems and Comprehensive Services. We are looking for an Assembler I who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high quality Glass, Doors, Frames and Subcomponents. This position is scheduled for 3pm - 11:30pm or as business dictates before or after.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
- Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
- Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs
- Notifies / communicates with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification.
- Assist assembly groups with problem solving
- Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 -2 years of production assembly work
Qualifications
- Basic reading/writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of 6S
- Ability to read and understand all job specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time
