About the role
The Assembler plays a critical role in the assembly of high-quality lighting products through precision soldering, assembly, testing, and inspection activities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is committed to delivering quality products in a manufacturing environment.
Key Details
- Workdays and Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch.
- Location: Addison, Texas
- On-site Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
What You'll Do
- Perform precise soldering of electronic components, including LEDs, resistors, capacitors, and related components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and diagrams to ensure accurate component placement and product assembly.
- Inspect and test soldered connections to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with specifications.
- Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently while maintaining equipment readiness.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues.
- Maintain accurate production records, material usage documentation, and quality data.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience assembling electronic components in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
- Proficiency using soldering tools, equipment, and inspection instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
- Technical or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or soldering techniques.
- Experience working in aerospace, aviation, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards.
- Experience performing visual inspections and functional testing of electronic assemblies.
