Assembler - Full-Time

About the role

The Assembler position on the Saber Frame Up team involves building components and sub-assemblies of heavy-duty vehicles, primarily supporting firetruck production.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work instructions and utilize the Truck Builder system to ensure quality and compliance
• Perform assembly tasks, including wiring, hydraulics, and installing accessories, using appropriate tools
• Operate specialized equipment like torque tools, cranes, and testing devices safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and 6S standards
• Identify and correct defects, contributing to process improvements and quality assurance

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 6 months of relevant experience or a high school diploma/equivalent
• Experience with basic hand tools; manufacturing or Pierce Assembly background is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to recognize safety issues, perform physical tasks (lifting up to 35 lbs., standing, climbing), and read blueprints and work orders
• Ability to work accurately, follow instructions, and respond to abnormal conditions
