Role Overview
Support assembly operations by ensuring parts are available for scheduled die assemblies and performing various assembly tasks in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review bills of materials to ensure timely availability of parts
- Prepare assembly parts according to orders
- Finish die bodies post-chrome plating and study blueprints to plan fabrication sequences
- Lift, position, and secure parts using hoists or vises
- Fit and assemble parts with machine and hand tools
- File, grind, shim, and adjust parts for proper fit
- Verify dimensions and clearances with measuring instruments
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and kaizen
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years of industrial experience
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with machining tools and equipment
Physical & Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
