About the role
L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking an Assembler B. The Assembler B works with moderate supervision, following formal written procedures and detailed verbal instructions. Essential Functions:
- Performs surface preparation, applies protective coating, insulates casings, casting, and operates pressure chambers.
- Carries out various preparatory tasks as needed in the manufacturing process.
- Manages documentation related to production and handles environmental responsibilities, including the collection, containment, and labeling of waste byproducts produced during manufacturing activities.
- Willing and available to work other shifts and overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintains satellite accumulation areas in a safe and orderly manner and in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Ensures that Hazardous Waste Control Technician is contacted to move non-energetic chemical wastes to the chemical waste handling area (CWHA) and energetic wastes to the energetic waste accumulation areas or thermal treatment units.
- Immediately reports spills of chemicals and/or process waters to the Environmental department.
- Implements the facility Emergency Procedures/Contingency Plan in the event of an emergency incident.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support production demands.
- Customarily has a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety.
- Must be respirator qualified.
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associate’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. Previous manufacturing experience is highly desired.
