Assembler
About the role
This highly experienced individual, as part of the OEM department, will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to a standardized process. They will also interpret blueprint specifications for each unit, conduct first piece inspections to adhere to quality standards, package and label products following standard procedure, resolve production issues, support new product initiatives, train department employees, understand and engage in department metrics, exceed productivity expectations, sustain inventory and parts replenishment system, participate in department meetings, complete industrial lift truck certifications (as needed), collaborate effectively with all team members across departments, help support other department functions as needed, help create and maintain a positive work environment, understand and abide by all company safety policies, assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management, and demonstrate advanced understanding of department specific tools and measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Aligns material and puts together parts to build more complex units.
- Interprets blueprint specifications for each unit.
- Counsels first piece inspection to adhere to quality standards.
- Packages and labels product following standard procedure.
- Helps resolve production issues.
- Supports new product initiatives.
- Trains department employees.
- Understands and engages in department metrics.
- Exceeds productivity expectations.
- Expertly manages scrap out procedures.
- Expertly operates all required equipment.
- Accounts for production schedule within cell.
- Proficient in all applicable computer programs and scanning operations.
- Expertly follows all Standard Operating Procedures for applicable department/cell.
- Exceeds productivity expectations.
- Sustains inventory and parts replenishment system.
- Participates in department meetings effectively.
- Completes industrial lift truck certifications (as needed).
- Collaborates effectively with all team members across departments.
- Helps support other department functions as needed.
- Helps create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Understands and abides by all company safety policies.
- Assumes responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of general assembly experience.
Qualifications
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
Skills

Pay
The expected hourly range for this position is $19.00-$22.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
Schedule
This position is on-site and is based in Woodland, CA.
Location
Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
Physical Requirements

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s location in Woodland, California.
