About the role

As an Assembler, you will hold a very important role in the Kings Mountain Operations (KMO) facility. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing equipment to consistently produce a quality product in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and performing simple and complex assembly/fabrication operations on bench, floor fixture, or progressive manufacturing line.
  • Performing tasks as outlined in the process work instructions.
  • Operating hand and/or power tools.
  • Performing inspections as outlined in the Inspection Instruction sheets.
  • Operating manual production equipment consisting of spot welders, mig welders, gas welder, plasma-cutters, sealer flow guns, spray guns, sanders, grinders equipment as appropriate for assigned areas.
  • Using various measurement tools.
  • Proper handling of Hazardous Waste generated by plant.
  • Upholding and maintaining the team-oriented environment with quality goals.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager.
  • Maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or GED with basic math skills and reading comprehension.
  • Basic understanding of industrial safety practices.
  • 0-2 years of experience working within a manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Willingness to develop in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct.

Pay

For this position, the base pay is set at $21.62/hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
