About the role
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets requiring advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging, and pharmaceutical research.
Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, microscopes, optical comparators, and drop gages
- Assemble small, intricate components using hand tools and microscopes
- Maintain steady production flow to meet weekly schedules
- Follow detailed instructions from engineering and production leadership
- Support quality and compliance processes in a manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Experience working with small parts, hand tools, and microscopes
- Blueprint and technical procedure reading experience
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), cleanroom environments, or welding/brazing (preferred)
- Ability to lift 5–20 lbs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
