Assembler

Full-time consultant-to-perm position with our client Honeywell in Clearwater, FL.

About the role

As an Assembler, you will assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. You will use hand tools and power tools to assemble units, identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels, and make necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, wiring, and hardware into sub-assemblies and final products in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
• Perform soldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical assembly tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with IPC/J-STD and company standards.
• Identify and report nonconformances or defects to supervision and assist in corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required.
• Follow established ESD, FOD, and safety protocols in all assembly operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics assembly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent soldering/assembly standards (certification a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if required.

Special Considerations

• Lifting generally in the 25 lbs. range with minimal repetitions.
• Minimal exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift: 6 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday
