Responsibilities
- Assemble basic parts to one another by tightening nuts, bolts, screws, by riveting or spot welding parts together
- Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings to assemble products
- Operate the computer to enter work orders and print labels
- Inspect parts and products for quality standards
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-2 years related experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Physical Demands
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day
- Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields. EMF fields can interfere with some medical implants, including pacemakers
