Assembler

Kelly Services is hiring an Assembly Technician for a leading manufacturing company in West Chicago, IL, near Warrenville—about an hour’s drive from Chicago. In this role, you’ll assemble high-precision industrial couplings used in demanding motion-control and power-transmission applications, ensuring products meet strict quality standards.

Schedule / Pay

• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• $21.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience
• Weekly pay

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and assembly procedures to build coupling products accurately and efficiently
• Install fasteners, inserts, and components using hand and power tools
• Perform mechanical assembly utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• Apply product labels neatly and consistently
• Operate bonding equipment used in the assembly of bellows-style couplings
• Verify dimensions using calipers, plug gauges, and other measuring instruments
• Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure products meet quality requirements
• Identify and report quality concerns and assist with continuous improvement efforts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Support production goals while adhering to quality and safety standards

Requirements

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools
• Experience using calipers, gauges, or other measuring equipment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet daily production expectations while maintaining quality standards
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to safely handle heavy or bulky materials when needed
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles is a plus

Team members should be comfortable standing for extended periods, maintaining quality standards, and working safely in a production setting.
