Kelly Services is hiring an Assembly Technician for a leading manufacturing company in West Chicago, IL, near Warrenville—about an hour’s drive from Chicago. In this role, you’ll assemble high-precision industrial couplings used in demanding motion-control and power-transmission applications, ensuring products meet strict quality standards.
Schedule / Pay
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- $21.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and assembly procedures to build coupling products accurately and efficiently
- Install fasteners, inserts, and components using hand and power tools
- Perform mechanical assembly utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Apply product labels neatly and consistently
- Operate bonding equipment used in the assembly of bellows-style couplings
- Verify dimensions using calipers, plug gauges, and other measuring instruments
- Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure products meet quality requirements
- Identify and report quality concerns and assist with continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support production goals while adhering to quality and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools
- Experience using calipers, gauges, or other measuring equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet daily production expectations while maintaining quality standards
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to safely handle heavy or bulky materials when needed
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles is a plus
Work Environment
This position is located in a manufacturing environment where employees assemble precision mechanical products and utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and specialized assembly machinery. Team members should be comfortable standing for extended periods, maintaining quality standards, and working safely in a production setting.
