Assembler
About the role
We are looking for a skilled assembler to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the assembly of our product. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This position is responsible for safely performing high-level continuous work to quality standards. Assignments may change based on business demands.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive progressive line assembly of parts, and sub-assemblies on any line within the plant, in accordance with predetermined standard work.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Read, understand, and apply method sheets, assembly diagrams, and blueprints.
- Detect quality defects and unsafe conditions.
- Be knowledgeable and follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read print drawings to determine dimensions, design, and materials for construction.
- Operate power pneumatic and hand tools required for performing job duties. Effectively use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and create work orders for tools/equipment to be repaired as needed. Perform general housekeeping of the work area.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Loading and unloading onto conveyors and carts, operating fork trucks, and hoists.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- 1+ years of experience in Blueprint Reading

- Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
- Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.
- Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.
- Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.
- Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
Preferences
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.
- Familiar with and can utilize power tools.
- Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
This position will be based at our site in West Chester, PA no travel.
