Assembler

About the role

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for an Assembler, located in Austin, Texas. This position performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. Responsibilities include determining and following methods and sequences of operations for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting on assembly units. Additionally, this role involves making setups and adjustments while holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools and materials
• Make minor setups of equipment in assigned area
• Review production data to identify potential areas of non-conformance
• Perform tests or quality checks on assembled units
• Interpret drawings and identify needed modifications and improvements
• Work with direct supervision

Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical training preferred
• 1-2+ years production or related work experience required

Skills

• Skilled in the operation of a variety of assembly tools
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good MS Word, Excel, and MRP skills
