About the Role

Working with blueprints, assembly drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal and written instructions, assembles, disassembles, repairs, and adjusts a variety of units, attachments, components, and/or accessories. Reports directly to the Production Supervisor or their designate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, sub-assembly, and adjustments on units, attachments, and accessories.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications accurately.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as jibs, overhead cranes, and accessories.
  • Use a variety of measuring tools to ensure quality and precision.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to assisting employees and participate in training others, including welders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or designate.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Work may require the use of scaffolds, ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes.
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Wear all required safety equipment for the area of work.
  • Report and address non-compliance with safety protocols.

  • Keep an open mind to continuous improvement suggestions from others.
  • Bring forward improvement ideas to the appropriate team member.

Requirements

  • Technical Trades School in Welding or high school GED.
  • 1+ years of assembly experience.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Physical and Mental Demands

Physical Demands: Primarily requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and bending. Must be able to communicate clearly and have corrected vision to 20/20 or adequate for identifying and distinguishing colors.

Mental Demands: Requires reading, writing, analyzing data, exercising judgment, developing plans, and working under pressure.

Work Environment: Exposure to manufacturing noise, temperature changes, hazardous materials, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts with vibration. Duties are performed indoors in a manufacturing setting.
