Assembler

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all company policies and procedures
• Ensure all guards and safety equipment are installed and properly checked
• Maintain quality standards on all products
• Safely load and unload machinery with proper tooling and product as directed
• Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the department
• Work in a safe environment for all employees
• Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
• Select the proper tooling and process set-up as directed
• Safely assemble parts on line to manufacture items for customer fulfillment
• Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• A thorough understanding of the hazard communication program
• Total understanding of the shop packets released to the shop floor
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion including walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
• Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed
• Must be able to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time
• Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)
• Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required)
• Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
• Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions
