Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and follow all company policies and procedures
- Ensure all guards and safety equipment are installed and properly checked
- Maintain quality standards on all products
- Safely load and unload machinery with proper tooling and product as directed
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the department
- Work in a safe environment for all employees
- Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
- Select the proper tooling and process set-up as directed
- Safely assemble parts on line to manufacture items for customer fulfillment
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
Required Skills/Abilities
- A thorough understanding of the hazard communication program
- Total understanding of the shop packets released to the shop floor
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion including walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed
- Must be able to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time
- Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)
- Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required)
- Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)
- Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
- Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions
