About the role
This company manufactures refrigeration cases and related equipment for commercial and retail use. The facility builds wood components and sub assemblies that go into the final product, so you would be working in a shop environment that blends carpentry style tasks with manufacturing assembly work.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut wood to length using a miter saw and table saw
- Assemble cut pieces using staple guns and nail guns
- Read and follow work orders to identify correct parts and placement
- Use a drill, drywall screw gun, and other hand or power tools to build sub assemblies
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners
- Rotate between different work stations as production needs change
- Work as part of an assembly team to build units from start to finish
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- Identify parts and their placement on the assigned product line
- Read rulers, tape measures, and metal squares to confirm dimensions
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable using saws, drills, and other power tools
- Able to read a tape measure and cut materials accurately
- Able to follow written work orders and instructions
- Able to stand, lift, and work with your hands for a full shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Carpentry or house building experience
- Experience with drywall screw guns or finish carpentry tools
Pay
The pay rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.
Schedule
The shift for this role is 7am to 3:30pm.
