ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and understands blueprints and bill of material.
- Assembles functional parts of enclosures and tanks using hand tools, power tools (cordless drills, impact gun, etc.), levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges.
- Uses forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, ladders and other lifting apparatus to aide in the assembly process.
- Assists in the assembly and installation of electrical and electronic components (electrical enclosures, transformers, etc.), pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
- Assembles both small and large sub-assemblies according to prints or drawings.
- Packages parts/kits to customer requirements based on bill of material.
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine assembly sequence and setup requirements.
- Follows work instructions from general description.
- Works with other team members to troubleshoot mechanical/fit issues in a satisfactory manner.
- Keeps work area clean and organized.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to handle or feel, and reaches with hands and arms.
- Frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Occasionally climbs or balances.
- Talks or hears.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds, and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
