Assembler

Essential Functions

• Read and understand all written work instructions (bluebird).
• Verify kitted raw materials (quantity and proper items).
• Follow directions from Lead Operator / Supervisor.
• Learn and execute all required steps of the build process including soldering, punching, potting, trimming, inspection, testing, measuring, wire stripping, cutting, laminating, bonding, baking, crimping, etc.
• Maintain proper identification / labeling of parts through all process steps.
• Work cooperatively with other departments such as Marking and QC.
• Follow all company policies and all safety guidelines.
• Determine the difference of a good/bad heater, circuit, and wire wound panel.
• Inspect his or her own work to make sure it is acceptable to the requirements and description of the product.
• Average eyesight is necessary.
• Clean raw materials and finished parts using cleaning solutions (such as Isopropyl Alcohol and/or water), air hoses, and cloths.
• Pick heater pads to expose area to solder/weld.
• Prepare PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) application and the bladder press for PSA.
• Tape heaters on boards for potting/conformal coating.
• Cover leads-potting, conformal coating, under cover with patches, or doghouse.
• String heaters and terminate leads with copper crimps.
• Operate Spartanics and die clicker machines.
• Cut required materials
• Keep work area clean and organized: sweep, mop, wipe, and put items in proper place.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Basic Math knowledge.
• Welding in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with and the ability to execute all required steps of the build process including soldering, punching, potting, trimming, inspection, testing, measuring, wire stripping, cutting, laminating, bonding, baking, crimping, etc.
