Responsibilities
- Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units
- Test and calibrate components to meet specifications
- Follow assembly drawings and wiring diagrams
- Make quality judgments and adjust as needed
- Operate specialized equipment such as shaft presses
- Maintain continuous attention to detail, safety compliance, and good housekeeping practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and process work orders
- Approximately one year of on-the-job training for full assembly knowledge
- Ability to lift medium to heavy materials
- Perform repetitive tasks under supervision, relying on instructions and established procedures
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Lift heavy materials
- Maintain alertness in a safety-focused and clean work environment
Experience
0-2 years preferred, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly methods.
