Assembler 3 (Direct)

About the role

The Assembler role at Allegion is part of a global team dedicated to enhancing safety and security. Located in Princeton, IL, this position operates on a 1st Shift schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 4:30 AM to 3 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assemble basic components using hand tools and equipment.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality and functionality standards.
• Document issues encountered during assembly.
• Track and document production metrics.
• Identify and segregate defective parts for review.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and store tools and equipment properly.
• Follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions.
• Be flexible by working overtime, cross-training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (optional)
• Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
• Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
• Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
• Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
• Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).
• Standing duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
• Lifting requirements: Ability to lift up to XXX lbs.
• Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.

Pay

The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.50 - $24.95. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
