Job Summary
Performs task without direct supervision, necessary to assemble cables, subassemblies and/or final assemblies in accordance with drawings, work instructions, work cell designs and shop floor travelers. This position works under general supervision.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Assembles parts together as shown on the prints without direct supervision.
- Works on the line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
- Utilizes basic Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices where applicable.
- Uses and sets-up machines, such as arbor presses, stripping machines, crimping machines, torques wrenches/drivers, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
- Able to use SAP - ME effectively and routinely.
- Has a good understanding of the Non-conformance (NC) process in ME.
- Writes (and/or assists in writing) detailed work instructions.
- Performs peer/in-process inspection in accordance with company policies.
- Trains Assembler Level 1 & 2 personnel and assists in Assembler Level 3 training.
- Able to perform soldering functions (example: solders cables, wires, and terminals).
- Performs tasks and duties with minimal to zero supervision.
- Documents print problems and interacts with the proper people to implement changes.
- Uses tools/hand tools.
- Able to achieve CPI times to complete device builds.
- Good overall build performance with minimum errors.
- Programs devices as required.
- Performs pre-production testing.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), plus two years of related experience.
- Requires a basic understanding of blue print reading and the Material Inspection and Disposition (MID)/Work in Process (WIP) Database.
- Able to place parts together as shown on the prints with limited supervision.
- Must be able to lift frequently 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to dexterously manipulate a variety of sizes of parts repeatedly.
- Able to operate industry standard hand tools.
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal.
Cubic Pay Range
$24.00 - $28.00 + benefits.
