Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets schematic drawings, blueprints, and diagrams to assemble electronic components according to product specifications.
- Supports production and efficient machine operation under direct supervision.
- Familiar with standard assembly concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Assemble, inspect, and test precision semiconductor assemblies and raw components as instructed.
- Follow documented procedures and provide immediate feedback when there is uncertainty.
- Meet daily production rate and communicate production output.
- Addresses issues immediately when production is at risk.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Assure calibrated equipment is being used as required and notify the appropriate Engineer if it is not.
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School degree.
- 2 years related work experience preferred but will hire the right attitude and train.
Skills
- Experience in hand soldering, manually placing small parts or components onto an electrical assembly.
- Wire bonding experience is a plus.
- Familiar with following travelers and standard operating procedures and follows basics of assembly drawings under direct supervision.
- Experience using microscopes to inspect products and ensure the highest standard of quality.
Pay
The Salary Range for this position is $20 – $25 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
