Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs testing and repair of new and used Automation Storage & Retrieval systems including but not limited to performing maintenance on Conveyors, Vertical Lift Modules/Kardex/ Automation Storage and Retrieval Systems, Automation and Robotics
- Repair and maintain Automation Storage & Retrieval Systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on proper operation and maintenance of Automation Storage & Retrieval systems.
- Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
- Communicate with assigned Supervisor.
- Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during all service activities.
- Travel to customer sites as required, sometimes on short notice.
- Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
- Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle.
- Represent the company favorably in all situations.
- Report all accidents promptly, regardless of fault.
- Account for 100% of available time during working hours.
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Coordinate all overtime with assigned supervisor.
- Follow all procedures in the company’s Employee Handbook.
- Follow safety procedures and use good judgment regarding safety.
- Establish a positive rapport with customers.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments
- Willing and able to learn quickly and perform accurately and neatly with a degree of flexibility
- Must be able to maintain a mature, professional appearance
- Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted driver's license with no more than an allowable number of points on record
- Possess sound working knowledge of basic D.C. electricity, basic A.C. electricity, logic
Education/Experience
- Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechanics, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field service or equipment maintenance, preferably with automated storage systems
Physical Requirements

- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The position requires the employee to drive a Company Vehicle for 8-10 hours daily.
- The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
- The employee is occasionally required to smell.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
Pay Range
- The hourly range for this position is $27.00 - $42.00.
