Asphalt Tack Truck Driver (CDL) - Raleigh, NC

This position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.

About the role

The Fred Smith Company is seeking an experienced CDL truck driver for an Asphalt Tack Truck Driver position. Applicants must have previous asphalt paving experience. We are a self-perform heavy civil contractor working in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid incidents with the traveling public.
• Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instructions from management.
• Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain DOT required logbooks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license.
• Current medical examiner’s certificate.
• Endorsements if applicable to the position.
• Previous asphalt paving experience.
• Local candidates preferred.
